Ever been to court? No? You're either a good guy, sly or you lie! 4 times for us, but then it's just the abandoned one you see here, a real gem of a place sandwiched between a police station and the new courts.
I remember bricking it the first time we went. It was noisy as hell getting in but once inside my breath was taken away somewhat with what was remaining. If you've never really been in trouble with the law then somewhere like this holds a sense of wonder - much like the abandoned prison we explored in France! These courtrooms and cells were the last bit of outside life some people saw before getting 'sent down' and there was a vibe around that on the first visit. With a great amount of decay going on here, rotten floorboards, 5 courtrooms, 2 floors of cells and basement holding cells, there's plenty to get the imagination running wild. There's also evidence of a homeless person here but I figure he hides when you visit....
