Kellingley Colliery
A cold and biting winter morning saw us take the trip to see the last of the UK's deep coal mine to close. A scramble over the mounds of slag got the legs going and the numerous German Shepard paw prints about meant an urgency to find a way in as quick as possible!
A sombre affair with various photographs scattered about showing the camaraderie these miners had for each other and a deep sense that an industry was going through the final death knell.
