It was time to dust off the camera……. It has been such a quiet year on the exploring front, mainly down to the new job and my only day off being Thursday. It’s hard to muster a crew together when it’s a random weekday, not impossible, but not always worth the planning, unless you have a location nailed on.

A weekend away was always more possible with a couple of days holidays used and if you’re going away overnight it might as well be abroad. As with most places across the channel now, they have been clamped down on and access is getting more difficult, so what is accessible one day, by the time you have jumped on Le Shuttle and drove across half of Belgium, is usually secured again. The last 2 trips have been like this. Fortunately a bit more success this time so with a mix of leisure, châteaux, industrial, 2 mortuaries, a theatre and even an abandoned plane in someone’s backyard, we had relative success!
